Copper House Inn

Whether new customers or old regulars, a warm welcome awaits you at
the Copper House Inn, located in historic Fore Street.

Established in 1791, our popular town centre Inn was built
to provide refreshments  for the trading village of ‘Copperhouse’,
which developed around the Cornish Copper Company’s famous foundry on the east side of Hayle.
From this foundry, Isambard Kingdom Brunel ordered the chain links
for his Clifton Suspension Bridge, and beam engines were despatched around the world,
from Mexico to South Africa.
Thirsty work, which made the Copper House Inn the popular watering hole it has been ever since.

A characterful Real Ale pub with exposed beams, wooden floors,
a stunning copper fire hood and lots of mining memorabilia to fascinate and amuse,
the Copper House Inn has recently been entirely refurbished
to a high standard of comfort and charm

We are proud to specialise in Cornish Real Ales such as
Doom Bar’s Sea Fury, Sharp’s Atlantic and Skinner's Porthleven.

We also boast the most extensive Gin menu,
with 38 gins distilled in the fair county of Cornwall itself,
from powerful Tarquin’s Sea Dog Navy to Fowey River Cider Apple.
Over 80 more gins from around the world,
and a Gin Passport valid in our sister pubs in St Ives and Winchester,
make Gin at the Copper House Inn an experience to savour.

And of course we have a full range of ciders, wines (red, white, rosé and sparkling)
and soft drinks for those who have come for the friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

As for your four-legged friends, at the Copper House Inn they will have
the best welcome in Hayle with dog biscuits, water from copper bowls, and plenty of love.

Serving great beer, amazing gins, delicious Pub Grub, great-value Sunday Roasts,
delectable Pieminister pies and mouth-watering ciabattas,
you are assured the warmest of Cornish welcomes at the Copper House Inn
